Gilbert Panel. (c) 2008 As a home owner, the "Breaker Box" is your first line of protection from electrical faults: short-circuits, overloads, and ultimately property damage (IE:Fire).

And builders, who were looking to save a buck, have resorted to low end products utilizng specialty brands (IE:Zinsco) which are now obsolete and difficult to find repalcement breakers for. (Based on my own experience.)

Replacing the "Breaker Box" requires attention to the wire and breaker sizes and even more complex: multi-wire branch circuits.

Now anyone can buy a "Breaker Box" at Home Depot. However, as with any other trade, there are many ways to take shortcuts that the average home owner would not be aware of.

So why trust this work to just anyone? (Even if you are related!)

Hopefully you can see that we take this work very serious?

We make certain that the hazards that exist are at least addressed (if not repaired), and insist that our work strictly conform to the latest building codes (IE:NFPA Article 70).

And while there is a State License (it is now unlawful to perform electrical work anywhere in the State of Texas without the proper license) there is little (if any) enforcement within unincorporated areas (such as in the County and outside of the City limits).

Leaving builders, and other contractors, to their own enforcement.
